Council Meetings



Spennymoor Town Council meets monthly as a Full Council, typically on the fourth Tuesday evening of each month.

The Council also have two Standing Committees:

  • Policy and Resources Committee (meeting typically on the first Tuesday evening of every month)
  • Facilities and Recreation Committee (meeting typically on the second Tuesday evening of every month)

All meetings of the Council and its Standing Committees are open to the public, the Council Chamber will be open up to 30 minutes before the meeting.

The Council also have various Subcommittees and Working Parties, which are held mainly on an ‘as and when’ basis.
