Accessibility statement for Spennymoor Town Council

We want everyone who visits and uses the Spennymoor Town Council website to feel welcome and have a good experience.

What are we doing?

To help us make the Spennymoor Town Council website a positive place for everyone, we’ve been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Spennymoor Town Council website.

How are we doing?

We’re working hard to achieve our goal of Level AA accessibility, but we realise there are some areas that still need improving. We will continue to update and monitor the website regularly as we make progress towards our AA target, but if you do find any problems, please get in touch with us at info@spennymoor-tc.gov.uk.

Have a question about something else? Then again please also use the info@spennymoor-tc.gov.uk address.

We aim to be compatible with as many browsers and assistive technologies as possible. If you’d like information about using assistive technology we’d recommend the BBC’s web my way site.
