WOOD

I make paintings and drawings.

I emphasize my work on the aesthetics of everyday life. At times my work can be large, tactile, impulsive and very physical and other times my work is delicate small and considered. My work seduces the viewer into a fictional place where human drama is projected and made romantic and poetic.

My work is always dark and often violent. Primitive motives drive me to create. The emotion of the subject or person portrayed  can be seen through the paint.

The unlimited potential of a paintbrush or pencil as well as the impossibility of reaching for perfection compels me to keep creating new work.

Born in 1994, Newcastle, England. I graduated Newcastle Collage with a degree in Art and Design with a specialisation in painting, and have recently completed my BA Honours in Fine Art at Falmouth University.
