Kate Stenhouse

Kate Stenhouse is an established and acclaimed artist working from her studio overlooking the Derwent Reservoir..
As a leading artist in her area Kate’s work can be found in many private collections both nationally and abroad.

Kate is free ranging in her subject matter and approach. She aims towards a loose reality, interested in the colour and rhythm of the piece rather than line. Her work is energetic and vibrant, capturing the spirit of the theme.

Kate describes painting as “a theatre of effects and possibilities”. Her images are eclectic and unique each time her brush hits the paint.¬†Small and lyrical, large and dramatic responding to the moment: energy ,colour and texture explode off the canvas.
Kate’s enthusiasm for life, for landscape and for her medium are infectious and have helped forge her strong reputation.
